Covid 19 response

I am overwhelmed by the compassion from the maker and crafting community during these hard times.

It seems like every group I’m apart of the, members are working around the clock with the tools they have to help out. Some are sewing face masks as fast as they can others are laser cutting or 3D printing ear savers or face shields with their machines running 24-7.

Ear savers

It warms my heart knowing our community can come together in a time of need to help in any way possible. We’ve been donating items all over the world to people that need these items. Many companies have started offering discounts on the materials we use to help cut down on our costs.

I know all of us are worried about how we’re going to pay our bills with so many businesses being closed down. I’m lucky enough that my wife works in the medical field and even though they’ve taken pay cuts, had their hours reduced and some have had to take furloughs my family is doing okay. If you don’t have the money for supplies to craft with I encourage you to sketch some designs that you’d like to make in the future or learn that computer program you’ve been putting off on learning.

Keep making and stay safe,

Kevin
